Bio

Tycho Poort is a producer, artist and songwriter from Leiden, The Netherlands. His passion for music began at a very early age and was influenced most by the beats, rhymes and deep bass of 2000’s hiphop. After being exposed to the beat making software fruity loops, Tycho’s creativity exploded as he began self producing and recording his own line of signature beats. At 15, he already made a name for himself when he was asked to join and produce the first 2 EP’s of “Community Compass” (a faith based band with fellow Bahá’í’s), and made their live performance debut at a stadium concert in Frankfurt, Germany.

During his years at Fontys Conservatory Rock Academy, University of Performing Arts in The Netherlands , Tycho’s producing skill gained notoriety when his original compositions were performed by the award-winning hip-hop artist Massi, for the national Dutch artist competition “Grote Prijs van Nederland”. When performed at Holland’s famous traveling pop music festival “Popronde” and Europe’s largest hip-hop festival “Woo-Hah”, Tycho’s music gained even more following.

Tycho’s online presence was solidified after producing and collaborating 2 EP’s and a single with 3voor12 talent Joël Domingos (Dutch-Cape Verdian rapper/singer), racking up 500.000 streams on Spotify. In 2019, Tycho made his debut as a solo-recording artist with the 8 track counting project ECLIPS. Currently, Tycho Poort is back in the studio producing and recording for up-and-coming Dutch hiphop artists, and looks forward to releasing his next solo project in the fall of 2020.
